Alberta Premier Danielle Smith thinks Donald Trump is “hilarious.”

Not that he is an inveterate liar or a menace to democracy or a threat to the Canadian economy — but that he is a politician who has the courage to take “bold decisions” that get people talking. And he’s a bit of a giggle while doing it.

“I think he’s hilarious,” said Smith at a news conference last week when asked what she thought of Trump telling Prime Minister Trudeau that maybe the U.S. should annex Canada.
