If Alberta Premier Jason Kenney feels like he’s at the bottom of a deep, dark political hole, he should realize he dug it himself.

And it seems he does. Sort of.

After avoiding reporter’s questions for much of the week, Kenney held a news conference Thursday to apologize to irate Albertans about what has come to be called “Hawaii-gate” where members of his caucus travelled to vacation hotspots over the holidays.
